With over 77 paid for attractions and a year-long calendar packed with events, Historic Environment Scotland has a lot to offer. But in the age of iPads and Netflix, a day out to an ancient property isn’t top of everyone’s list. 

To change tablet-worshippers into history-lovers we needed an idea that was highly infectious - just like history is when you walk under a portcullis. The History Bug was born. Spreading right across the country, it was an epidemic like no other. One of the side effects of the condition was a Gold Marketing Star Award.
