Union Digital delivers a stream of new websites in 2024

Union Digital has just completed an intensive schedule of new website launches over the last eight months.

The Union’s specialist digital division has launched (or relaunched) no less than 14 websites. This represents a 20% growth in revenues in 2024, as well as an expansion into larger digital transformation projects for clients. 

An example of a project at scale is the Traffic Scotland website which was awarded a Silver at the 2023 Marketing Star Awards. With a large volume of data feeds and integrations, complex mapping and filtering, and the top level of DSSS accreditation required, the two-year project was a significant challenge. 

The new sites include a major project for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. This involved building three sites; for the charity, for Edinburgh Zoo and also a site for The Highland Wildlife Park.

Other new sites include a refreshed site for Energy Savings Trust, a new site for the Scottish Government’s Parent Club brand and a revamped site for Community Justice Scotland.

The agency has also delivered the first two phases of a complex Ecommerce site for the new Lost Shore Surf Resort, which, when launched later this year, will be the home of the largest wave pool in Europe. The state-of-the-art technology will generate up to 1,000 waves per hour. The resort is based in Ratho, outside Edinburgh, set within a 60-acre country park. There will also be over 50 luxury accommodation units, plus a waterfront bar, café and restaurant. The £60 million development will be one of the most exciting new developments for tourism and leisure in Scotland over the last 20 years. The Union Digital team are currently working on the final phase of the project, ready for the resort opening.
