Every year since 2004 the Star Awards shine a spotlight on marketing excellence, celebrating best practice in effectiveness and creativity, as well as focusing on key players in the industry.

The Union had already been shortlisted 15 times in 11 of the main categories. Eight clients in total were nominated, with ScottishPower up for four nominations, and Police Scotland in with a chance for three awards.

In the latest nominations to be announced, Union Direct’s Deputy Managing Director, Emma Campbell has been nominated in the ‘Inspiring Agency Leader’ category, whilst Callum Doyle is named for ‘Rising Agency Star’. Meanwhile Ria Jenkins is shortlisted for ‘Rising Creative Star’. Another Union client, NatureScot, is up for the ‘Chairman’s Award for First Time Entry’. Finally, the agency is shortlisted for one of the big prizes on the night, ‘Agency of the Year’. Thus, in total, the agency is shortlisted for 20 awards.

Emma Campbell, Callum Doyle and Ria Jenkins have all been nominated for individual awards.

Emma Campbell commented: “This is only possible because of the hard work of so many people here over the last 12 months. And because we have the support and collaboration of our wonderful clients. We’re obviously hopeful to win some awards on the night; but whatever happens, we’re going to make sure to party hard!”

The awards dinner is on the 12th June in Glasgow.
